This was my first Christina Lauren book, and what an absolutely unexpected delight! When I say I’m obsessed with this book, I’m barely exaggerating.
 

“Lots of people don’t have sex for a year, “Is it really that shocking?”

“For you, yes, Fizzy. Are you kidding?”

“I watched porn the other night, and there was barely a clench. I think my pants feelings are broken.”

“Fizz, honey, I…”

“Last week, I considered going jogging in flip-flops just to remind myself how sex sounds.”

I won’t lie, I picked up this book because of the cover. It caught my eye, and then the premise intrigued me just enough to take the plunge and buy it.

It turned out to be so much better than I ever expected 🤩

Fizzy and Connor have my whole heart and are everything together 💖. Their chemistry leaps off the page, and I found myself rooting for them from the very beginning.

Honestly, Christina Lauren did a spectacular job with characterization for all the characters. Considering how many were in play, that’s no small feat. Not a single one fell flat or felt one-dimensional. Each character had their own quirks and depth, making the story all the more immersive.

I absolutely love how irreverent and cheeky Fizzy is—she’s a firecracker with a heart of gold. And Connor, oh Connor. He’s the epitome of the cinnamon roll MMC, so well-rounded and endearing.

The writing also had me laughing out loud throughout the story. Kudos to Christina for crafting such spectacular banter and spit take-inducing one-liners. Seriously, please never change.

P.S. While I won’t bring the rating down because of it, this book is solely responsible for me googling “testicular degloving,” and I will never forgive the author for this.

Seriously guys, learn from my mistakes.
