๐๐๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ง๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ๐: 1 minute
Iโm sure you โ dear reader โ are probably not as aggressively Type A as I am (and if you areโฆ are you okay? ๐ ). But even if youโre only a little Type A, you probably have your own flow when it comes to Bookstagram.
For me, it goes like this: I start a new book, and almost immediately I go hunting for the authorโs Instagram. I want to follow them, and I want to drop their handle into the tracker I use for reviews, wrap-ups, and general bookish chaos.
Most of the time? Easy peasy.
Jane Doe = @JaneDAuthor or something equally intuitive.
But every once in a whileโฆ it turns into a full-blown scavenger hunt.
Iโm clicking through the authorโs website.
Scrolling footers.
Questioning reality.
Briefly wondering if this person exists at all.
Only to eventually realize one of two things:
A. They donโt have an Instagram (donโt @ me โ it happens)
B. Their handle has absolutely nothing to do with their name
(which, listen โ you do you, boo โ but it does make you very hard to find)
Enter my nerd brain.
And thus: ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐ต๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ป๐๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ๐๐ฝ was born.
I donโt know what it is about a well-organized spreadsheet that brings me so much joy, but here we are. I put together this resource as a quick, searchable lookup for anyone trying to find an authorโs IG without spiraling into fifteen open tabs.
Itโs a live document, so itโll keep growing over time. Iโm even toying with the idea of adding a narrator tab down the road, because apparently I donโt know how to do things halfway.
If youโre someone who likes having this kind of info one click away, you can bookmark the ๐๐๐๐ต๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ป๐๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ๐๐ฝ ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ (future you will thank you). And if you find resources like this helpful, let me know โ Iโm always brainstorming my next spreadsheet-fueled project.
Made with love. And filters. Mostly filters. ๐
