Emily once again delivers the perfect mix: impeccable pacing, a plot with real depth, steam by the bucket, sharp humor threaded throughout, and characters so well developed you can’t help but get attached.

Henrik wrecked me from the first locker room breakdown—he’s stoic, broody, and yet so deeply emotional. Teddy, meanwhile, balances humor with the reality of living with constant anxiety. Emily doesn’t gloss over it, and the authenticity makes Teddy even more endearing.

The slow burn? Absolute 🔥. Watching their relationship evolve from lighthearted friendship into an all-consuming love was everything.
