Holy fucking shit on a cracker—this was One. Wild. Ride.

This is the second book of Shandi’s I’ve read (yes, I’m reading the series out of order, fight me 🤷🏻‍♀️), and while Vengeful Vows also sucked me in, this one? ✨ unputdownable✨. Shandi, thank you for my first 2am bedtime in over a decade 😅

When I say this is a page-turner, I mean it with my whole chaotic, book-obsessed heart. Yes, the spice is five-alarm-fire hot, but what kept me glued to my Kindle at the end of every chapter was 100% the plot. I had to know what happened next. Needed it like oxygen.

Shandi absolutely crushed it with the tension and pacing—I was desperate to see every twist unravel. Also, shoutout to my inner drama goblin who was feral waiting for Zoya to find out who Andrik’s “wife” really was. Does that make me an instigator? Possibly. Proudly.

If you love billionaire/mafia-adjacent romance with a side of chaos and betrayal, this one’s got you covered:

Now yes, it clocks in at just under 600 pages. Some readers might argue it could’ve been trimmed by a couple hundred—but honestly? It never felt like filler to me. The story earned its length.

It’s twisty, it’s turny, and okay fine, I did have to backtrack a few times to keep up—but if that’s not part of the ride, what is?

Final verdict: Add it to your TBR, and maybe clear your calendar. You will lose sleep over this one.
