Lia Riley came in like a wrecking ball with this out-of-the-box hockey romance!

The synopsis alone had me intrigued, but I never expected Tuck and Lizzie to burrow into my heart and take up permanent residence.

This was such a fantastic read. Lia didn’t just craft a unique and fun storyline; she wove in profound moments in an almost understated way. Understated or not, these gems had me stopping to highlight passages I’ll definitely revisit in the future.

I’ll admit, the time travel aspect did leave me scratching my head a few times, but that’s where suspension of disbelief steps in, right? 😆

Excuse me, but where can I find this cinnamon roll of a man? Tucker Taylor is a treasure, and I dare anyone to say otherwise. Sweet, funny, and an all-around gem, he gets thrown into 1812 and barely bats an eye. Talk about thriving under pressure!

Lizzie is everything. An older heroine in 19th-century England? Yes, please! It’s so refreshing when female leads in historical settings aren’t teenagers. Lizzie is a grown, take-no-nonsense woman who knows exactly what she wants. Watching her stay true to herself from start to finish made this story even more satisfying.
