Favorite Finds & Fixations

To summarize September:

Where did the month go?! Between work, freelance gigs, volunteer duties, and some BIG purchases (more on that later this month), I blinked, and suddenly, September was over.

Did that stop me from spending my hard-earned money on random items that make my brain happy but leave my wallet weeping? Nope, not one bit.

Quick note: I may earn a small commission if you purchase through the links below, but rest assured, I only recommend products I truly love (or am currently obsessing over). Your support helps keep this blog going—thank you!

CatMom Co

@mew.reviews shared a post showing off their adorable CatMom Co. purchases, and I promptly (read: immediately) web-surfed my way over to Etsy and bought all the things 😅.

But honestly, how could I resist? My favorite item—and my new all-time favorite bookmark—is a custom design featuring the derpiest German Shepherd in all the land (a.k.a. my doghter).

I may, or may not, have a sticker addiction.
Look at the side eye. She’s judging and she doesn’t care who knows it.

Not only was the bookmark perfect, but the customer service was amazing! I received everything ahead of the estimated delivery date, and the packaging was super cute.

I’ve got my eye on about 78% of their inventory for future purchases 👀.

SPOOKY FASHION

Fun Fact: If Halloween came with presents, it would definitely be my favorite holiday. So, as soon as September hits, it’s officially spooky season in my mind—and spooky season means spooky fashion!

Cue a hyperfixation adventure through Amazon. (I’m not saying I spent over an hour and a half scrolling through “spooky fashion” searches, but I’m also not not saying it.) Amazon delivered big time this year.

Who wore it better?

Poll: Is Ella distraught by my insistence on accessorizing her or is she striking her best Top Model pose?

We all know Amazon can be hit or miss, but this was a solid hit! Look at how cute this ghostie headband is! You’ll catch me wearing it year-round.

Now, I need someone to remind me why two Halloween headbands isn’t practical before I also get this one 🫣

APPRENTICE TO THE VILLAIN

“Hello, evil overlord.”
“Hello, little tornado.”

Technically, I read Apprentice to the Villain by Hanna Nicole Maehrer in August, but the evilpalooza vibes stuck with me well into September. You know when a book makes a rainbow-colored lightbulb go off in your head? That’s what this one did for me.

And, in a classic example of why I love Bookstagram so much, @coffeeandlostinabook—who I buddy-read this with—was the absolute sweetest and brought my little creations to life 🥹.

In my ongoing Etsy addiction, I also struck gold and found @finleyycollective’s shop, where I discovered the cutest bookmark featuring the only frog I’ll ever find adorable: Kingsley. ❤️

And that’s a wrap on my September splurges. If you’re keeping track, yes—you’ve witnessed me acquire six new bookmarks in the span of a month. You know how we say, “reading books and collecting books are two different hobbies”? Well, using bookmarks and collecting bookmarks are also two completely separate hobbies (and that’s my excuse, at least) 😅.

Let me know what random obsessions you’ve picked up this month—I’m always down for a good splurge. 😉
