“My dreams never compare to you in reality,” he murmured before dipping his head and running his nose along her cheek. “You possess me in a way I will never understand.”

As far as I’m concerned, Victoria Jayne has officially checked off her good deed for the month—because introducing me to dragon shifters has to count as an act of kindness. I mean, if it doesn’t, what does?

Holy hell 🥵 Gideon and Ella weren’t my typical romance couple (they spent about 97% of the book trying—and hilariously failing—to avoid each other), but what I didn’t get in emotional baggage and tear-streaked drama, I got from raging sexual tension.

Both Gideon and Ella are as stubborn as they come, and their constant attempts to undo their mating bond made me want to knock their heads together (especially Gideon, because let’s be real, his reasons were just a little (lotta) bit arrogant).

Some books practically beg for a GIF review, and I live for the chance to deliver.

Guideon, when he finds out Ella is his mate
Ella when Felicity tells her she thinks she’s mated a shifter
Ella when Felicity introduces her to the paranormal world
Me looking at Guideon when Ella gets pushed off a cliff
Ella in Josephine’s workshop
Every time Ella mentions she doesn’t have time for men because of her future
Ella in that one scene with BOB
