Scarlett really went and said, “Let’s make some bitches choke up with this one.”
Every. Single. Feeling. Was. Felt. Seriously, it’s impossible not to get all up in your emotions as Spark and Sophia recover from their injuries.

I’m a huge fan of how Scarlett serves up such “real” characters. She gives us the messy, the broken, the downtrodden, and shows us that at the core, this is what real people are. Sure, I read to escape, and I love me some “picture-perfect” characters now and then, but honestly? Give me a real MMC/MFC any day.

I know I said Spark is my #1 Outlaw, but Switch might be giving him a run for his money (especially after that scene at church).

“𝑰’𝒍𝒍 𝒌𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒂𝒇𝒆 𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒐 𝒊𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒆, 𝑺𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘. 𝑰 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒆.”

𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:

• Now I know the difference between non-declarative and declarative memory. Don’t let anyone tell you romance books don’t teach you anything.
• So, when Soph laughs at inappropriate times, she has a “brain injury,” but when I do it, I’m just an asshole? 🙄

• “𝑭𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒔. 𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒕 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒘𝒆 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒕 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒐𝒏. 𝑬𝒂𝒕. 𝑻𝒉𝒆. 𝑪𝒂𝒌𝒆.” Memo to self, folks: we could die tomorrow, so eat the g’damned cake.
• Niro being the one to break them out and being so excited about it? So on brand. 😆
• Niro and Avery’s relationship continues to melt my heart. 😍 This poor girl is going to have it rough when she’s old enough to start dating. 🤣
• He got her a WHOLE ASS PINK HARLEY. 😭
• Niro starting a revolution is just further proof that he deserves to be my favorite character.
• These men have a lot of opinions for guys who also picked women they “weren’t supposed to.” 😒
• The whole scene at church had me simultaneously raging and choking up.
• Gwen earns all the queen votes for this: “𝑰 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒂 𝒗𝒐𝒕𝒆. 𝑰𝒇 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒐𝒑𝒉𝒊𝒂⁠—” “Babe, I voted for,” Clutch offers. She glances his way. “𝒀𝒆𝒔, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒄𝒂𝒏’𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒅𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏?”
